What are Some Different Paintball Games
What are some different paintball games?
And a brief description of how they are played.
Paintball USA has multiple outdoor playing fields. There is everyone’s favorite “The Jungle Fields” that have natural terrain. There is a field known as “The Town” with wooden structures perfect for hiding behind. Hyperball has a series of tubular set ups that resemble “The Call of Duty Field”. Finally, The Battle Bus Field has a bus and truck used for defensive strategy and a tower where a referee can view all players, watch for safety, and fair play.
Our referees explain safety and game rules, strategies, and goal objectives on how to play these games, so there is no need to memorize all the steps for each version of the game. Players that are here for paintball birthday parties have a fantastic and safe experience. https://paintballusa.org/
By far, the most popular game played at Paintball USA is “Capture the Flag” where each team crosses the opposite side of the arena with the objective of taking the flag back to their base station. There are variations of this game. One scenario is, each opposing team goes after the other’s flag, capturing the flag and bringing it back to your station.
The other is, placing the flag in the center of the field. Both teams race to capture the flag and claim victory. The rule of reincarnation as we call it at Paintball USA, is simply an event that happens in beginner capture the flag games. When a player is hit with a paintball early in the game, the referee will allow him to continue playing until hit again. This gives the beginner player an advantage to stay in the game making his first paintball experience more positive.
Speedball is a fast-paced game played on a smaller, flatter field with just blow-up air bunkers to hide behind. This game requires aggressive tactics and teamwork. Speedball is a perfect way for paintball teams to practice for a tournament. Tournament games require lots of team practice and player communication on tactics and strategy to win!
King of the Hill games are mainly for tournaments. Teams play against one another. The team that wins against all other teams is “King of the Hill” or best player wins by process of elimination.
The Fox and Hound game, a favorite with corporate team building activities. A player becomes the fox, dodging behind bunkers trying not to get hit with a paintball while all the other players aka, hounds, are shooting at him. When hit, the player that shot him becomes the fox. Game ends when a fox makes it safely from the starting point to the other side of the playing field. It’s kind of like a game of tag using paintball markers.
The game of Elimination or “Last Man Standing”, is straight forward. The two teams shoot one another’s opponents until the team with the most players left standing wins.
Attack and Defend games do not need equal numbers of players on a team. The defenders stay on one side of the arena shielded by large bunkers while the attackers start on the opposite side, surging forward to overtake the other team. This game has a time limit, whereas capture the flag does not.
In Bomb Squad, one team hides smoke bombs everywhere on the field. The opposing team attempts to locate the bombs. The defenders try their best to keep the bombs hidden until time runs out.
Notice, we use many words describing players as males, however, the sport of paintball is quite popular with females of all ages, and we host many gatherings as a family entertainment center. https://paintballusa.org/welcome-information
