Is Paintball Acceptable for Seniors?
There are many sports that are great for seniors such as softball, pickleball, tennis, and Paintball. Yes, Paintball is acceptable for seniors with an active life style. I say active, which means people of all ages, can play Paintball without getting injured if they are in good physical condition.
Sometimes seniors are prone to getting injured in sports. After a person has worked and raised a family for most of their adult life, during retirement they are looking for an age acceptable physical activity. The body may need conditioning to ensure the proper physical endurance so participating won’t result in broken bones or torn ligaments.
Paintball USA, an outdoor Paintball Park in Los Angeles, is a perfect place to start out in beginner games. We have a good mixture of beginner players, ones that use standard .68 caliber Paintball guns and Paintball Soft .50 caliber guns that shoot out smaller Paintballs that have less impact. https://www.paintballusa.org/
Paintball is a safe and exhilarating sport that people of all skill levels can enjoy. With multiple Paintball fields, the referees at Paintball USA keep games separate for the renters and more advanced players that use their custom guns.
If you are using our rental guns and want a challenge, you may join in the open class games. A referee will call out “open class game” which means it will combine rental players and advanced. Enter at your own risk or if you feel brave enough to go against the self - equipped players.

Some of the benefits from an outdoor physical sport are.
- Balance and equilibrium.
- Mental acuity.
- Cardio respiratory endurance
- Muscle strengthening.
- Endurance stamina.
- Body flexibility and agility.
- Mind and body coordination.
- Hand, eye, and motion speed.
Remember to warm up your muscles by stretching to prevent torn ligaments and other bodily pain. Stay hydrated before, during, and after your sport. Good nutrition is key in physical conditioning. Why eat those sugary foods when you could choose to eat snacks loaded with nutrients.
Lastly, always dress appropriately for the weather and sport you will be participating in. You don’t want to overheat in summer months. Be sure and bring along your insulated thermos with water and a packet of electrolytes. Wear sunscreen to protect your skin from over exposure. Sun glasses will fit under the Paintball safety mask. When playing Paintball, it’s not the best idea to wear shorts and sleeveless shirts on the field, so wear a light jacket and pants that you can easily take off after the games.
Cooler weather is best for Paintball games. Bundle up in your most comfortable sweats, gloves, beanies, and neck protection. Hiking boots or athletic shoes such as cleats work best to prevent slipping while dodging Paintballs. https://www.paintballusa.org/location
