Paintball USA Introductory

This is an introductory to Paintball USA and the activities we offer.  Paintball USA aka Close Encounters is an established business and has been operating outdoor amusement parks for over 25 years. https://www.paintballusa.org/

Some of our previous locations were in Malibu, Simi Valley, Oxnard, Santa Clarita, Newhall, Acton and currently in Palmdale. Paintball USA is owned and operated by Michael Schwartz & Family.  Mike began playing paintball in 1980. Shortly after, he decided to open an outdoor paintball park. https://www.paintballusa.org/location

When the sport first began, pump rifles and paintball pistols were used.  Pump air guns are so different from all the expensive and high-powered custom markers on the market today.

Paintball USA now offers paintball games for all ages and skill levels. Splatmaster using low velocity pump rifles for ages 6 – 8 years old, Paintball Soft using .50 caliber light weight semi-automatic air guns with the smaller, .50 caliber soft gel paintballs, standard .68 caliber semi-automatic markers, Axe Throwing lanes, outdoor Rage Cage experiences and soon to come, Gel Ball games that shoot colorful, water filled orbeez. https://www.paintballusa.org/about/paintball-soft-splatmaster

Players are divided into skill levels. Beginner players using Paintball Soft markers play separately. Intermediate players using .68 caliber rental guns play separately, however, if they want to join in the more advanced games with the players using custom personal markers, they may.  Private game bookings are available. https://www.paintballusa.org/about

Splatmaster games require a minimum of ten players and played on a separate field. There are multiple outdoor playing fields at Paintball USA. Referees are on each field while games are being conducted. The Head Referee/Field Manager oversees game and field rotation.

Currently and prior to covid, all our rental equipment has always been cleaned and sanitized after one use. Our rental wear is laundered after each use as well. Our outdoor picnic facilities are spacious and spread apart into 5 different areas which are cleaned every day. Paintball Palmdale is right on the border of where Acton and The Antelope Valley connect.
