Paintball is a team sport where players interact outdoors in games of capture the flag. Unlike team sports where a commitment of registration for a season is necessary, a group of friends or a solo player can stop by Paintball USA on the weekend, join in a few games, and have a great time without feeling obligated to show up again the following week.
Paintball games are competitive. Shooting small, gel filled paintballs that are safe, nontoxic, biodegradable and break upon impact, while eliminating your team’s opponents utilizing your physical ability and skills makes for a good adrenaline rush. https://paintballusa.org/
The referees will guide players through the strategies of the game while following safety guidelines to ensure a fun and positive paintball experience. The playing fields, also known as maps and arenas, have bunkers of various sorts that you can hide behind while dodging paintballs coming at you.
Paintball isn’t considered an extreme sport. An extreme action sport is defined as being high risk and dangerous. https://paintballusa.org/about/paintball-facts

There are colleges that have student paintball clubs, however, since all guns are banned on school grounds, paintball will never be offered as a team sport at any school in the United States.
Due to the nature of the sport where paintballs can hurt being “shot” out of a gun for the intent of hitting your opposing teammates, the general population will always see paintball as dangerous.
Criminal attacks on innocent victims using paintball guns have added to the assumption of the sport being dangerous. Law enforcement claims that paintball markers resemble real guns. In many of these attacks, the velocity on the gun has been increased to allow the paintball to travel at speeds of up to 300 feet per second which can cause major injury.
At most paintball parks in the area, the velocity on rental guns has been adjusted to 240 feet per second. Paintball USA adjusts custom guns used by advanced players no higher than 280 feet per second.
Regardless of how some individuals spoil things for others, paintball is still great fun, and its popularity is on the rise. Paintball USA has seen a steady increase of families having paintball birthday parties since the pandemic. Mainly because we are an outdoor park where people can enjoy a safe, family entertainment venue. https://paintballusa.org/gallery
We offer competitive, inclusive, rental packages that are affordable for all budgets. The only added expense above and beyond the rental package will be additional paintballs. Our rates are comparable with other paintball parks. https://paintballusa.org/pricing
Through the years, many paintball stores have closed their doors and went out of business. Unless a paintball store owner has an outdoor park, selling guns and paintballs are not profitable enough to stay in business.
A day of paintball for the entire family is a lot cheaper than going to an amusement park. The prices just for entry into a well-known amusement park is very expensive and you aren’t allowed to bring in food. The prices for food at these establishments are outrageous.
Paintball USA has outdoor shaded picnic facilities where you can bring in food, ice chests, place a pizza order with the local Acton Pizza Factory or bring along a propane grill. We enjoy helping people have affordable celebrations with family and friends!
Our peak seasons when most like to come out and play are Spring and Fall. Summertime players come out in the morning and leave before it gets to hot. Some love to play in the rainy weather, but not many paintball “troopers” like to get drenched.
To keep a steady flow of paintballers coming in all year round, we get our “regulars” that visit us every weekend either to practice with their team and get ready for the next tournament or those that have made paintball their best hobby.
